 Shortly before sunset at Rocky Mountain National Park. I got there at just the right time. 5 minutes later, the tree was covered by shadows.

Used a polarizer and Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 lens. Curves, Hue/Saturation (desaturated everything but yellow), Neatimage, cloned out a few JPEG artifacts & small bush, Resize, Unsharp Mask.

I would have voted this a ten if just the tree was in color............. with the grass and small circle of rocks at the bottom in color too. Having the grass desaturated, the cloud shadows on the left would have given it a dynamite amount of contrast and balanced the entire picture to perfection. With one or two of the lone rocks on the left side left in color it would have been a spectacular picture.

Beautiful shot and great composition. The resulting contrast between the green and sky really creates an almost dream-like photo...... I give an 8 !

Probably not the best choice to alter. I think the desaturation detracts from the image rather than enhancing it.
