 Out take from the Calendar challenge in February.

I actually like this one better, but there was no way I could get this in the first challenge. It was taken on the last day and I was processing on my notebook. I really needed the big, better calibrated monitor for this job.

For those who couldn't figure it out, this is a old viking lighthouse at a place called Verdens Ende (The End of the World) in Norway.

nice shot David! But I think it would look more natural in BW. The bright merry color of the lighthouse seems a bit out of place in this austere setting

The title stirs nothing in my mind, and the subject/composition is kind of peculiar in my conceptual expectations......6.....Basically, I just don't get it.

I think I remember a description saying that this was a lighthouse. It looks to be the loneliest lighthouse on the planet. The icy region looks cold and very lonely for anyone set to do lighthouse duty. I can see a ship way off in the distance enshouded in the haze of the morning light. Love the colors and details of stones in this structure. The extended 'arm' that would hold the guiding light almost takes on aspects of a fishing rod. It would be interesting to see this scene at night with the light lighted, but that may be difficult or not advisable due to freezing chill:-) Very beautiful shot.
