Serendipitous positioning of lots of elements, from the pedestrians to the blowing flags to the bus down the road a bit. A fine shot indeed! Congrats on a great score and the top ten!

This image is stranger than it looks. Well caught.

Nicely framed with the pedestrians and crosswalk lines establishing a frontal plane like a theater stage screen. Somehow the sepia helps the effect because it lets us see it apart from the too familiar bad color or bw. So, we can then dwell on the receding perspective that wants to pull us in through the veil into the stage.

This is an outstanding b&w conversion with wonderful tones. It's also a great shot displaying both the grandeur and ease city life. My only complaint is the slight tilt left. Otherwise, top three for sure.

Chicago is such a neat town and I spent my share of time on Wacker drive when I was stationed at Great Lakes 38 years ago. By the way, Very nice processing.7

Nice shot, would have loved to see this shot as a portrait instead of a horizon, still really nice, and the tones are nice, great shot. 7..Wacker drive..Chicago??

Nice representation of a core downtown street. Like your vantage point looking down the middle of the street. Whether intentional or not, I like the slight blur of the people in the crosswalk showing movement. This "duotone" treatment is fine, but I wouldn't mind if you posted the color version in the photographer's notes after the voting just for comparison purposes.

My kind of town...sorry I won't sing. Nice and I particularly like the moving people and the tones here.

I love the movement of the flags and pedestrians. I wish there were a bit more depth to the shadow and mid-range tones. :)
