 Fake wall with empty frame around cut out hole. Two dried seed pods stuck in white foam board with a white paper background. One strobe/reflector to create the shadow inside the frame and also light the background. One strobe with a grid pointed at the big paint brush. One strobe with a beauty dish next to the camera to light the frame/wall and fill in shadows. One flashlight with a snoot pointed at the small paintbrush. Painted right side of frame with led flashlight. 65 sec exposure with strobes set to rear synch.

Sorry!! I had to vote a 1 here though. My reason was that your photograph didn't show any distinct foreground or background framing of your main subject. Essentially your subject is in the same plane as your frame.



Per this comment, and this comment, plus a private message, I have decided to give you a new score, It is now a 3 for the other qualities of this image (despite what I feel is still a DNMC image). Now go thank Bear_Music for he does make good sense sometimes, or at least inspires me to be a bit more open minded (or at least punish people slightly less for what I see as either shoehorning or a failure to take a reasonably literal interpretation of the rules..)
