Challenge: Fine Arts: Exhibit I (Advanced Editing VII*)
Collection: Challenges
Camera: Canon EOS-5D
Lens: Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
Location: Chatham, MA
Date: Mar 5, 2010
Aperture: f/11
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/60
Date Uploaded: Mar 5, 2010

This is actually not desaturated, it was shot in a break in a snowstorm. Tennis courts, is what it is. Chatham Beach & Tennis Club, to be exact. Been wanting to shoot this scene forever. Conditions were finally right.

Nearly straight from camera; uncropped, no rotation necessary. A smidge of skew right on bottom to make the center line "vertical". A smidge of Topaz Detail, a touch of curves, resize and sharpen.

This has to be a candidate for 'Most Underrated'.

So much of a sense of quietness and space. One day, I may be able to see a shot like this.

The three figures at mid-court, so patient. They will wait. Then wait some more.

6 - I like the shades, the processing and the symmetry, but it feels a little awkward, albeit subtly - mainly the glimpse of trees in the rear and the top right corner of the field. Up to 6 from 5 though.

Interesting and definitely a unique look on the scene. And I suppose to could be classified as fine art but it really just doesn't appeal to me. Just personal preference. Good Luck.

The geometry and desolation give it drama and definition and the fine black and white conversion define it as a fine work of art.

It's bloody hot here. I am sweating. There's an old fan turning at full speed.
But, looking at this makes me forget all the noise and the heat.

Lovely moody shot - unusual point of view too. For a moment I thought that those were people in the middle. Reall nice balance
