My only 10 to make the Top 10! I thought this one might be from JDannels. Congrats on your high placement, Ursula. The presence of your excellence is quite comforting somehow. ;-)

Interesting. The type image that makes you take the second and third look.

5 - A little ..'flamboyant' for me - stronger image regardless with more off the top, in my opinion.

Great blur and use of the swing to frame the subject. Well done.

Intriguing in that it doesn't tell the story to the viewer in one split second. Lots to take in and consider (and perhaps even criticize) here. And that's art by my definition.

One of my higher scoring images. I rather like the centered composition.

This engages me emotionally. Well done. My thoughts on this are that swings are a wonderful metaphor for and reminder of childhood. That remembered feeling of flying through the air without a care is a powerful one. One that we can feel drawn back to. Some aspects of the processing seem a bit ragged, but whether deliberately so or not I cannot tell, for example the dark halo around the hands and the transition area where the ground ends.

I find this very rich with meaning; it is just that I don't quite know what the meaning is. Has the guy with the child's jacket just gotten up from the swing and has put on his hat and gone out into the ill-defined future? Or is that a girl's garment and we are talking about gender changes? This ambiguity is very powerful and makes this an outstanding contemporary art image.

Already gave you a 10, just back to comment. This is one of my favs. It's like you caught her right at the moment she decided she was "all grown up" Walking away into womanhood.

One of my 9s - I like the feeling of movement in this image - I also like the top horizontal band; though I've no clue as to what it is. The clothing is puzzling...

Grown up but not ready to let go just yet, it seems. I like the androgynous nature of the subject.

...& moving on. The blur adds to the storytelling. I wonder, are those the bright lights of the future on the horizon?

I cant vote but I would certainly put this on my wall.

One of the best, certainly. Slightly overdone in terms of processing (high clipping where the horizon meets the background and at the hands) but great impact and perfect use of focus, however achieved. Thanks.

loving the concept i just wish something was a little in focus. But thats just my opinion you may have intended it this way. This Reminds me of something i'd see at an art exhibition. I love your choice of clothing its very interesting and i love that i cant exactly make out what he's wearing. 7
