Nice one, Robert. Whenever I see dunes, it always reminds me of our visits to South Padre Island when I was a little girl. My dad would body surf and then we'd fill glass Coke bottles with a mixture of sand and water, to create Kremlin like spires atop our sandcastles. Thanks for the memory. :)

Congrats on the Yellow; the foot prints make this for me. Probably my favourite of the challenge (only just viewing for the first time).

I love this entry Robert. The thumb nail alone says it all and just begs to be clicked on. And it pleases me immensely to see that these types of 'fine art' shots get selected by the DPC consensus as their best in show.

Unbearably eloquent: vertigo, memory and sand. (Was someone asking what fine art was?). 10

Good shot, but maybe an angular crop to get rid of those footprints would help.

The shadows really are the image here. I like the gentle shape of the curve on the sand being similar to a dune, and then there's a contradiction of the deep contrast of the shadow. Well done!

I like what you are trying to do (well what I think anyway) the bottom of the image works well as you see the fence and shadow which is missing at the top of shot as you only really see the shadows.
