Wonderfully creative shot.

cool, creative.....I love this one!

Lighting: Fabulous. The obviously intenional brightness on the dress conveys well the inner glow of their affection. The details in the faces and indeed the entire image are incredible considering the small range of very bright colors you limited yourself to. The only thing I find even slightly distracting is the shadow of his nose -- a minor distraction to be sure, but still there for me.
Pose: From the positioning of their bodies to the expressions on their faces, I am definitely intruding on them as they bask in the glow.
Background: A private place. It matches the tone of the image perfectly.

I would love to hear more about the wrokflow you mention in the title after the challenge.

Wonderful poses and facial looks in a very unique location ! Lighting is way too strong though.

I like this a lot....but not the elevator background. Editing is fantastic.

I like the high-key effect of this shot. The pose is interesting, and the bride has a dramatic beauty about her. The groom's head tends to disappear into the BG, however...which is a little distracting. His shoulders and back also appear to have been in motion or something...but this is still a good effort. :o)

I like this one a lot. Good work.

Too light

i won't mention the title. i won't. honest. the photo: very nice! the pose seems a bit awkward, and not wanting to seem rude to the groom, but the bride is a bit more composed, and i think would be as if not more striking on her own. particularly photogenic. i like what you did in terms of editting. did you use PS for a cross processed look by any chance? (i'm teasing!) it's still a very nice drama-rich shot, very appealing. 8. and a bit of brevity in title department might be nice.

Lovely shot of the bride and her baby son!! :D

Seriously though, I love the colour of this. The high-key works well and the composition is great. I must say though that the pose is almost comical, so if he were placed just slightly higher then it may work even better and look less like a Freudian visage!

But - boy is that title going to p**s you off over time!!
06/30/2004 01:31:38 PM
Putting all that info in the title is a bit unnecessary. The shot is awesome though.

This looks a bit overexposed to me, but that might be the effect you were striving for. Apologies if I am judging this incorrectly.
06/30/2004 01:51:16 AM
I love this but would bet you get a strange bell curve! It's really unusual and almost an Annie Leibovitz style (= GREAT!)

I understand what you are trying to do with this, but I've never been too fond of the effect. I DO like the compositioin and the emotion that come from your subjects! They look comfortable together and that is a good thing!

Wow, this one has it all, drama, beauty, composition, and successful high-key (such a rare thing!). Surely a winner. (But that's the best title you could come up with?!?)

Unusual but effective not your typical wedding-album photo for sure, but has/shows distinct "personality" and liveliness.

I love this photo - the expressions, what they are doing - it really works. But the harsh lighting almost ruins this photo.
06/29/2004 07:22:01 PM
Original, but I'm not sure I like the washed out highlights or the effect it produces...so it just comes down to my taste. Technically well done.

Excellent High key shot! Fave of the challenge. Could have given a good title, instead of explaining the shot, even though it is needed for alot of voters. (C:

Glad to see that more and more people are submitting high key images.
Very unusual and very good..I love the way the skin tones are almost indescernable from the background

Love the overall effect, especially the couple - not sure about the background. . . maybe a job for PS?
06/29/2004 05:32:20 AM
Nice effect. Lots of lost detail in the white areas though.
06/28/2004 09:44:56 PM
I like it, but just dont care for the over exposure. Good job though.
06/28/2004 09:08:35 PM
But still, just a bit too over-exposed appearing.
Top of elevator wall distracts. (IMO)
06/28/2004 08:58:41 PM
A very neat composition with the special effect of the faded look.

Truely freaky picture - werll done! -- A little bright but it works for this shot
06/28/2004 06:18:52 PM
I like high key. The other 2 in this challenge did score pretty high with me..
But I don't realy like this yellow color in this photo...
Don't get me wrong, it's a good shot, but just not my taste (6)(Oh and 6 is not a bad score with me...)
06/28/2004 04:11:16 PM
Really nice image
good luck
06/28/2004 02:26:41 PM
I like the look for the most part, with the exception of where the white bleeds into the tux. Also, because the tux is soo black, her hand appears to be just floating there in a odd position. Still, I like it for top 10 ... nice work.

defenatly a top 3. Or atleast i hope so. This photo diserves it. I like the high key tones and the glow. Honestly, the glow is really amazing., love it

very unique wedding shot. I am usually not very fond of high key, but it works well in this picture. The background makes somehow sure it doesn't get "too" sweet.

Nice shot, but spoilt by the title. Also the background is a bit too similar in colour to the skin. 6
06/28/2004 10:58:07 AM
Stunning. I like this.
06/28/2004 10:24:57 AM
I like the edgy look to this--very creative! But really, that's not a title... :)

What is up with the title? Magicians don't give away their secrets for nothing, even if its not exactly secret, some mystique is good to have.
06/28/2004 01:50:08 AM
awesome!
06/28/2004 01:03:37 AM
awesome shot :)

I love the look here, this is outstanding imagery. I love the cross processed look. I'd appreciate some guidance on how you got this look. Not sure I like the title tho, could have been better there, but oh well. - 10

The image looks nice but the title has to go... my personal opinion is that using a title to explain your photo is a bad idea. This title doesnt say anything about the photo other than how and where you did it. Titles are part of the presentation and this one just doesn't work for me.
