We gave this vodka to my sister-in-law last year, I borrowed it to take pictures of. We bought it just as a conversation piece, really, it's quite strange. Dan Aykroyd is the spokesperson for the vodka and it's bottled here in Newfoundland. Here's the website:
Crystal Head Vodka

Ok I sat through the whole of that Dan Akroyd vid..... is it just me or had he been drinking too much of the product before making it......
filtered through diamonds????? what can that possibly do lol

Anyway back to the point, this is a demonstration in how to photograph glass and deserves every point of that 7+ score.
Well done Karen

Very interesting bottle! In my top 3. I looked online to see if they have it at the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) and they don't have it listed. Looks like I can't get my hands on a bottle of this :(

Very clean! The only thing I would have removed is the writing on the skull, but, of course, it's hard to say whether or not the SC would deem that a large part of the photo. In product photography, they never leave that in though.

Wonderful shot. I have not liked photographs of stuff missing from bottles this challenge but for this one I think it really makes the shot because it is at the same level as the class.

Very nice. I like the stark constast in the scene and how you lit the glass. Might be a little tight to the frame on the bottom.

Very nice photo for this challenge. Would have liked it just a tad more if the background was seamless.

Really really great lighting. I'm just not taken with the composition of the shot. I feel like two subjects were not necessary, and you should have just stuck to the skull. Also the subjects looked cramped in the frame. More space around them would have been good I think.

Having said that, it would have been a very hard decision for me to crop out the glass, because it looks so fantastic :)

great shot. Love the lighting, the black and white choice. I can just see a hint of the reflection that causes me to think having more of the reflection might have been nice touch. 7
