We were on a tour of the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham Texas when I saw they were selling the ice cream cartons for $1.00 each. I guess people use them as planters.

"We Eat All We Can And We Sell The Rest" is one of their marketing slogans. So I thought it might make a good product shot theme.

I used fake ice cream based on this recipe

Worked great. although we did burn out the hand mixer. ;-)

Used natural light through a southern facing window.

Nothing special on the processing.

What's the other flavor and where do they sell Blue Bell Ice Cream? Looks delicious.

A very good product shot, but maybe better if the ice cream was in nice round balls like out of an ice cream scoop

Not a fan of white background shots but when done with some creativity like this one it is much better to look at. Great concept.

I really like this. It's well composed and executed. The title is pithy. It's totally appealing to the eye - and therefore meets the challenge wonderfully.

Nice crisp photo, but the bowl with the ice cream is just slightly off center, which is annoying - it should either be centered exactly or off to side.

I think that the product features too much here. The tubs in the background seem to serve to confuse rather that reinforce.

I hate you...not really, I just miss getting Blue Bell!! I love the shot, bokeh is good and the colors really pop.

Good shot of a notoriously difficult subject. The bowls are a bit of a distraction though- the blue stripe is a bit ugly and looks out of place.
