It would have been better if you crop a little at the top (to remove hair), and a little cropping near the chin.

Is it a mirror or water? Interesting take on the challenge and a classic profile shot. But the starkness of the blackness surrounding the face works against this shot for me. Too much negative space for such a classic profile. A 5

A bit gimmicky for my taste! This was taken underwater right? How did you light it and what kind of camera/case did you use? Just wondering...

Lighting: The lighting is well done. Considering the subject is wet, it is suprising the highlights are not more hot than they are (which is not at all hot).
Pose: There is not much in the way of pose, but I would like to suggest that the camera's viewpoint and the drection of the eyes are at odds with each other. One (the perspective) moves the eyes into the frame, while the modes expression pushes it out of the frame.
Background: Wonderful black, although I would have liked to have some separation between the background and the model's hair.

Pretty well-executed example of this technique -- I might have used the Burn or Clone tools to tone down the brightest highlights on the chin.

Quite an interesting take on the challenge. The image appears, on my monitor, to be a bit soft on focus. The skin is a bit shiny as well, which is distracting. Good effort, and kudos for being different. :o)

Colors are right on as is exposure. But... the floating-in-space presentation is lost on me.

Thisi s a fascinating image but, to me, it doesn't work well as a portrait. The way it makes her eye look on the right side kind of creeps me out, and the disembodied head adds to that effect. I guess I'm admiring the technique but suggesting it isn't working for me as a portrait. Just my two cents -- and I can't even vote!

Very nice a effect. Although it wouldn't be something I would see in a studio portrait though.

Cool graphic affect ... but as a portrait it falls a little short. I like it, but I wouldn't really call it a portrait.

Good try. The right side reflection is narrower, darker, causes loss of symmetry, which would have enhanced shot.

This is a very wicked photo. I like it wicked like it is. I would love to know how this was performed. Great job. I love the clarity.

cool picture... the flesh tone is little shiny - but overall awesome!

Not what I would consider a formal studio portrait, but it is definitely an interesting photograph. I'm curious as to how you achieved the shot.

My opinion in this shot is that it doesn fit the challenge very well, plus its a little too much like another entry I´ve seen here on DPChallenge!
Pretti nice image though and I think it would have been stronger if the model was lookin more towards the photographer

I find this very creepy. Her face reminds me of one of those plastic doll heads you find in craft stores. She looks bald. Interesting process but not very flattering to the subject.

i see what you're trying to do, but it ends up a bit creepy and not as a very special portrait, imho.

Unusual (although reminiscent of another challenge shot) and effective. Eye is in a strange position though. Looks like some editing has shaved off part of her reflected nose!
