The front of one of the campus buildings at Williams College.

[Apr. 5th, 2010 02:38:25 PM]

4/5/10, 2:33 pm:
After Robert's comment I do realize exactly what he was saying. When I saw this for the challenge I thought of the doors themselves as the 'subjects' more than a single scene divided into three. I also had originally titled it "The Doors" but felt that kind of explained the shot and I hate titles that do that.

Relating to another comment: I would have loved to get the shot perfectly centered. However, this was taken on Williams campus and I could not move the objects that prevented me from moving to the right a few more feet. I tried moving farther away but lost too much detail that I wanted in the shot. Closer and I could not get all I wanted from the scene in the frame. Oh well. Such is life.

Very nicely proportioned and perfect lighting. You were perfectly positioned to ge pillars in the positions they are... very nice.

woah. I am usually a fan of wide-angles, but the flat perspective (or whatever you call it) works fantastically with this picture.

This is a tough challenge to vote on. I do not really see 3 subjects here. The subject seems to be the building which has 3 doors, 3 windows, and 4 columns. I really like composition and the framing. The lighting is great as well.

Well shot, well edited but just a touch on the boring side. Good work though.

Nice composition! It would have been "perfect" if you had moved a little to the right while shooting it so the crest would be perfectly centered, and then the outer sections would have been symmetrical also.

This is a beautiful image. It's an awkward interpretation of the topic, since it calls for "3 subjects" and that you have here is a single subject divided into 3 zones. So I'm not sure how to score this. 6 for now.
