Thanks for the comments and votes! I'm truly surprised by the score. This scene was taken during our stay in San Diego, same as my Children entry, this was on site at the resort. I was drawn to the texture and reflection, lucky to have the light as well.

Congratulations! I was hoping to see this on the front page, but then again, I was wondering if it might be too subtle for broad DPC appeal. So, I'm happy to see it make the top 10.

Like three old gents who gather every afternoon to shoot the breeze... only these guys pretty much stay put.

Wow, two sixth places on the same night? That's amazing! Congrats on your two top tens. I didn't vote in this challenge, so it's the first time I've seen this. Nicely done.

Nice choice of B&W. But with the reflections it makes it six subjects so, DNMC. A 1

Ha Ha just kidding. An 8. I like this shot a lot.

Brilliantly creative way to meet the challenge with the horizontal and vertical threes. I particularly like the way this plays with lines.

Interesting. I like the composition and editing. My only complaint is the prominant 5 cables draw my eye from the fact that there are 3 pilings.
