Cutest Camera On The Planet.

The Kodak Recomar 18, a folding bed camera originally manufactured by German company Nagel before then merging with Kodak. Made in the early-to-mid 1930s, this unassuming little box - and I do mean little; closed, this puppy is a mere 3" across, 4.5" high and 1.5" deep - expands to reveal a true triumph of design. Many extension options - including "double" extension, for macro shots (as shown in the top image), and the bellows can also be shifted horizontally and vertically a bit like a view camera (top image also shows the bellows at full upward shift). Ground glass focusing back.

Designed to take 6.5x9 glass negatives; I have many sheet film adapter slides for this camera, as well as a 120 film adapter. I also recently picked up a set of additional lenses made for the Recomar, which expands the focal range.

How can you see this camera and not want to pick it up and cuddle it? :)

This is quite a gem... My favorite so far.
