Wow! Still 4 days to go and it looks like I am heading for my PB, just wondering how much better it would have been if I had overcome my laziness and shot it again without the beer can and the table cloth (almost everyone has pointed that out and it looks very silly)

This was a test shot to check the symmetry of the flowing chocolate. I dropped working on that later because of the light reflections on the magazine and finalized this

for final submission.

Changed my mind at the last minute, though for good I guess :)

You were unlucky to miss out on a top 5 here. I think the can and table cloth add to the 'out of the ordinary' feel. If you'd made it look like a studio shot it wouldn't have looked so unusual.

Very nicely done. I like everything except for the can. Seems to have no reason to be in the shot and is distracting.

Great setup and concept! I wish the framing was bit tighter to exclude the distractions!

My fav of the challenge. I would have not included the can as it distracts a bit, well it does me anyway, ;-)...but still my fav. Very original and clever. 9

Neat idea but I think if you had left out the can, the shoulder, the wrinkle in the magazine and done a closer crop it would really help.

This picture has a ton of potential. There are a few changes I might try for effect. For instance a tighter square crop, cutting out most of the shoulder, the beer can and the much of the table cloth. The chocolate drip is perfectly in line and looks completely natural. The glare on the bottom of the magazine is slightly bothersome. Well done. 6

nicely executed...I think it could be improved w/o the soda can and, better trimmed fingernail and tighter crop on top right and bottom.....No vote

Excellent concept, and the chocolate portion is well executed. I find the red background terribly distracting and overwhelming, and don't quite understand why there is a soda/beer can in the background.

Very nice idea, and well executed. The composition is not my favorite part of this photo, especially the white shoulder in the foreground. Nice one anyway, congratulations.

Great idea and well executed, it looks like the chocolate is really coming out. The only concern is the distracting can which is in my opinion ruining the photo from being great. 8

this is a great idea! But the powerful red background and the beer take my eyes away from the subject

Excellent. I'm a bit distracted by the beer/soda can, and the edge of the table.

Brillant idea, but could be so much better without the beer can, the table cloth, the OOF shoulder and the small piece of background (not to mention the reflection on the paper)
