...ok...I know it's out of focus. It's not a flaw, it's a choice. For those that may not realize this, or even for those that refuse to embrace this notion...some photographers intentionally use blur, be it via optic, movement, what have you. It is a creative choice/mechanism that can be used to imply meaning, mood, atmosphere with out being hit over the head with the crispy sharpened obvious.

Please stop thinking those of use who use blur don't know how to use our cameras. Quite the opposite is true. You can like it, or not like. It makes no difference to me...but please stop thinking it's a flaw or something wrong...it's not. It's just not your taste.

Great great image. It would also have been perfect for this week's zen challenge (the one without the bra, too).

Perfect light, perfect mood, perfect oof, for perfect cosiness.

So blurry. You need to read tutorials on sharpening and tripods. Next time try wine glasses, marbles and Jello, k?

Love the diffused light and the blue wall. Interesting composition, with that area of blue.

I love this shot in color, but think it would be good in b&w, too. (IMNSHO)

My lowest rated image for this challenge. Without changing composition, here are a few things you could have done differently to have gotten a better score from me.

Focus - The only place that appears to be in focus is a small spot on the wall. Even if heavy bokeh is what you are going for, your subject (the lingerie) should be in sharp focus. It should stand out so that there is no doubt it is the subject of your photo.

Color - It's a bit flat. A quick adjustment to the contrast and the image would have a lot more pop to it.

Shutter speed - I suspect this was your number one problem. It is way too slow. A faster speed and the image would be less washed out and the details would be sharper.

Your composition is good. With a few tweaks to camera and a few nudges in post it has a lot of potential. Hope this feedback was helpful.

There is something about this that I like very much. The light color and texture of the wall, the depth of field and focus that puts most of your attention on the bra, and the almost mystical glow (like afterglow) of light that highlights the under garment and also leads you to the bed. A bit sultry, A bit romantic, and a bit mystical all at the same time. Nice control over the highlights as well. I also like the window light sets off the fragile detail of the bra. Well done. 9
