 I noticed lots of dragonflies at a pond across the street from my house, so I went out there with a 70-200mm f/4L lens and snapped away. Although I got many shots with better exposure, sharpness and detail, I really liked the expression and symmetry of this one. Cropped, USM, and a little saturation boost. I cloned out a distracting leg under his chin.

Beautifully captured, great use of DOF to throw out background, and the vibrant green of that background is appealing. Love the curl of leaf onto which he is perched but the overall composition of the image doesn't quite work for me though I must admit the semi-symmetrical nature of it is quite unusual for this kind of content... a real eye-catcher.
