Challenge: Black and White Landscape (Basic Editing*)
Camera: Olympus E-500 EVOLT
Lens: Olympus 40-150mm f/3.5-4.5 Zuiko Digital
Location: Exmoor, Somerset
Date: Apr 23, 2010
Aperture: f16
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/20
Galleries: Black and White, Rural
Date Uploaded: Apr 25, 2010

Taken early evening looking across fields full of lambs to Croydon Hill. Shot in RAW converted using ACR, cropped slightly, applied levels and converted to b & w. Resized and saved for web.

I have no idea where that green tint came from - will be going back over my pp steps to find out. Am pretty mad with myself for not noticing it. Have been so busy with work that I didn't have much time for this entry, but really didn't want to miss this challenge.

Lovely, the light. Can feel the time of day and year, almost taste the landscape.

Cute family of sheep, and I like how the two little ones are looking right at you. Unfortunately, the greenish tint just isn't working for me.

It's a really nice photo, and I love the two little ones looking at the camera. :) Why a green tint? I don't think it suits the subject matter and detracts from the photo...

Green? Color process issue?

I'd like it very much without the green cast.

Tones ok but I think B&W would have been outstanding.

personally I don't care for the tone that you chose, I'm not taking down for it not being in B&W...I just don't care for the color you chose, to me it takes away from the pretty landscape that you have

I am not fond of the blue tone.

Nice rolling hills and subjects. The tint of green doesn't really meet the black and white portion.

The tinge of green doesn't work for me, I'm afraid.

really nice idea. Don't like the tones, looks a tad to green in my eyes

Those lambs are looking right at you. I wish the duotone were a bit less saturated.

Not sure I like the green cast on this, but otherwise, this is such a stellar shot. A bit dark but the sheep just slay me. Front page.
