Photographer’s Notes
I’m on the road in Mexico, and while I have my photography kit with me, my editing kit is limited to a laptop, no filters, no plug-in tools. But I’ll soldier on.

The photo is of the lobby of the Hyatt Regency in Cancun Mexico. I really like the form and the repeated patterns. I shot it daily for several days, at different times, in different weather and with different lighting. This seems to fit my “made up” movie best. It is a 7-image HDR composition with no Photoshop work applied to it.

“The Time Tunnel” was an actual 1966 TV series in the US written and directed by Irwin Allen (who also did Lost in Space, the Poseidon Adventure, and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.) Needless to say, it made a big impression on me at age 16. So, this is in homage to Irwin Allen who has sadly departed us.

If you’re going to make a movie, you might as well get the best producer and director in the industry … Steven Spielberg and James Cameron. James Cameron often uses less well know actors (I picked Sam Worthington from Avatar, and Dakota Fanning cause she’s hot) and better know actors (Sigourney Weaver who I’ve loved since the first few Alien movies, and Jeff Goldblume who I liked in Independence Day and Jurassic Park.)

Barking Spider Productions, Mind Bender Partners, and “At Least They’re Not Going to Prosecute” Films are made up.

I love Expert Editing, we should do more of it. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it!
