Title is from an old sports (Notre Dame football backfield) reference based on a Biblical reference. The layout reminded me of an "editorial cartoon" I've seen accompanying the sports story, but I haven't been able to locate a copy; this photo is the closest so far ... the most common depictions of the biblical Four Horsemen are of wraith-like figures on horseback riding together either towards or away from the viewer; here are a couple of examples: OneTwo

An AGLET is the rigid tip placed on the end of a shoelace to make threading it through the eyelets easier, and to prevent fraying.

For this shot I threaded the lace ends onto some unbent paper clips to hold them relatively still, and shot them against a pre-designed monitor background.

I didn't vote in this challenge, and if I had, I would probably have been too lazy to look up "aglet". As it is, I'm glad to have seen your notes and the others' comments. This is truly weird and wonderful.

How often do you get an 8 from me? Not very... I was particularly amused that more than one person photographed aglets...

I was going to slap a low vote on this, but in the interests of building my vocabulary, I went and looked it up. I have to give you something for the strangeness factor of this one. Actually, this is sort of like finding pictures in clouds. This looks like an overweight iron man, eying some treats. Perhaps cotton candy or Teriyaki chicken on a stick.

You'll be getting a posthumous award for this :-)
