Here's the original

Location, Neskowin Beach, Oregon features an ancient forest located at the tide line, perhaps 300 old stumps which are revealed at low tide. Converted to B/W, and forced contrast/brightness to its limit to take away all texture except the contemplative zen-like outline of the ghost forest. Thanks for the comments. This was not entered to score well, simply to express another look at photography, perhaps looking at the inner "dimmed light, a meek namelessness, a hidden wholeness" of the image before our eyes. This should have scored so much higher.. reminds me of the cover that is on a CD Kate Bush put out years ago. Nicely seen and photographed.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Almost graphic art over photo - I like the purity in this image. Is it a 2 bit conversion? I remember see a treelike image at resembled a cardiac trace, this is a little remiscant of that shot. There is plenty of mystery here, particularly in terms of scale - how big are those objects?

Critical stuff: Nothing really.

Overall: Interesting and a little brave!

Now that's cool looking and very different.

ETA: Realized what I like about it. It looks like a display of an audio signal.

Interesting. Nice reduction. Would look good large, hanging in ultra modern decor.

Awesome... reminds me somewhat of bucket's "Heartbeat of Trees," which, if you aren't familiar with already, you should go check out
