Thanks so much for the comments, plus the three fav’s. Also for the great score and my first ribbon in a while. Yipppeeee!!!
I spent about an hour and a half photographing the slice of kiwi (without the water) but was just not satisfied. The lighting was fine (one flash from the side towards the back and the other at the front) but the kiwi slice looked so boring on it's own.
Got to the stage where I was ready to throw the whole sheebang out the window when (at last!) I thought about squirting water on it. So...I did a load of shots squirting water on the kiwi, less water, more water, water from above, from the side, from behind (you get the picture ;-) but this one was the very first one I did after getting the idea in the first place and, because I like the streaks on this the best, I decided to use it.
Thanks again, you guys!

That's a great idea, Irene, to make pictures while squirting water on subjects! I'm going to use that. I've tried it before out of doors, with a sprinkler, but never in a studio situation. Sounds like it has POTENTIAL! Beautiful results BTW, I like it.

Very nicely done. I especially love the backlit hairs on the top. I would have liked the edge to be taken down a little bit, seems a tad over-exposed. But that's a very small nit to pick and doesn't change the vote. -8-
