Challenge: Free Study 2010-06 (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Canon EOS-400D Rebel XTi
Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L USM
Location: Viera Wetlands, FL
Date: Jun 13, 2010
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/400s
Galleries: Nature, Animals
Date Uploaded: Jun 29, 2010

Taken from my car window. Even though I know the bird needs to eat, I felt so sorry for the little frog. :( At least he is immortalized in this photo.

Big crop because the wide shot was too busy. Lost a lot of detail.
Used Topaz Adjust and Topaz Detail, adjusted color, burned, Noise Ninja to smooth. Hope the color is right as I am having trouble with this lately.

Not terribly happy with the photo presentation, but the moment captured was interesting.

WOW! I never thought this would ribbon with all the great photos in this challenge. Thank you soooo much!! :)

That's a superb shot. It took me aback when I first saw it.
I love the colours, the blurring, the reflections, the eyes and the absolute sense of power that's portrayed over the frog. If I could have voted I would have given 9/10.
The only thing I don't like is the capitalisation of every word in the title, but that's absolutely a personal thing.

Classic, Funny and Sad all rolled in one. Awesome shot. Wonderful complimentary colors. The POV tells a very drastic story from the big fat slimy frog's perspective. Now from the Tri-colored Heron's perspective it is a happy happy ending with a nice full stomach. What makes this photo is the fact it is not just a bird photo and it is not just a frog photo. It is a photo showing the natural order of things in nature. Well done.
