Firstly thanks for all the votes and comments

This was taken whilst shooting a weddings in Wales with Mark Simms. It was a lovely venue in the countryside and these bluetits had made a nest in one of the walls of the gardens.

It was great watching mummy (or daddy) going back and forth collecting food for the babies. This particular caterpillar was huge and it took the lucky baby ages to swallow it!

As for the crop, I tried a tighter crop to make the birds bigger but it just didnt work as well for me as this one giving a bit more depth with the oof foreground. That's why I shot it at 2.8 after all!!

I was hoping for a higher score but it was on 5.6 for the first few days so I can live with a 6 :0)

Thanks again

This is great shot of the birds. I'd crop it much tighter as all the interest is in the left half of the frame.

I would think a square crop would perhaps work better here. The birds are so wonderful and such an excellent capture, but a good half of the picture is the oof stone. You need some of it to get the idea of the setting, but I think 1/3-1/2 of the stone would be more than enough.

Fantastic capture!
