I like the idea here, but the person is lost at the edge of the frame and isn't part of the scene at all.

A slightly different twist on the challenge, and I think I like it. Less about the face, more about the figure, but not at the cost of losing part of her (?) story. She's a dog owner, a loner perhaps -- lives by the sea. Nice job.

Comment only from a non-voting, non-member: While the relative placement of the person and the dog is interesting, the juxtaposition of the dog with the background rock distracts too much and becomes the unintended focus of attention.

I love how the dog is framed by Haystack rock :)
It may just be my eyes, but it looks like the person is a bit soft, and has jaggies around the edges.

Very artistic. I love negative space, but this is a bit much. I think a crop on the right to eliminate the little pink cloud would not have hurt the intention of the image.
