You took the mythical and made it believable. For that you deserved the blue.

I think the greatest thing about your great great great Grandmother is that so many recognized her as your work. What an honor that is!!

Finished voting and now going through my scores and adding comments. Iinitally I gave this an 8, however on second viewing I think this is a contender for the top. Great compositing, great use of photo aging techniques and overall the feel of the image is brilliant. Hope you dont mind, but gonna adjust your score on this one to a big fat 10! Ribbon contender I am sure.

Freaky subject matter but great imagination demonstrated here. I really like the look you have created for the image, the coloration and distressed effect is highly effective. I think the eye doesn't convince as much as it might - I think the horizontal perspective might be slightly off... Or, it could just be my brain refusing to accept that it looks right, after all we are more sensitive to visualization of the human face than anything else.

I gave it a 10 though - it stands out in this challenge. The coloration and feel of the image suggests clive_patric_nolan to me....

I hope you don't get scored down because people are a little precious about babies, this is just a photo done for a competition after all.

Came back to this and changed my vote to a 10. This reminds me of the "freak shows" they used to have with the traveling circus. You'd go in an see the baby in formaldehyde that was all deformed & they'd have some bizarre name for it. It's just so creepy!

think this one may creep out the voters a little too much, but wonderful idea and execution. Top 10 at least! 8

Disturbing, dark, gritty, i love these kinds of images. I'm willing to bet this is getting killed by voters due to the unpleasant nature of the image. I hope i'm wrong, this is cool and the skill that went into this deserves recognition. I hope voters look at it with an open mind.

Very errie and a bit disturbing. The distressed look to the 'photo' adds an element of age and something nostalgic perhaps - like the old bill poster advertising circus acts of people with odd features/anomalies. Here we have a cyclops baby - perhaps it is even one of the original greek titan children. Definitely very well done in the composition and presentation and also in the creepy chill one gets when looking at this image. An above average composition - well done.
