 An improved wildlife image over my first entry at DPC. No reflection off the retina from a flash. A more challenging subject than a squirrel.

I see I rec'd one "1" vote based on DNMC. And, another person commented the title was not an exact match. Didn't know there was a requirement to exactly replicate my first entry. If that was the challenge, then it was poorly conceived. More likely, the voters are being excessively rigid in the personal interpretations of the challenge. When that happens, the caliber of the photograph becomes secondary, even when an image meets the challenge.

For me this is a terrific shot. Love the depth of field. Nice capture of the animals expression and for me that is what makes the shot.

I was unable to locate a similar image with a title like this and the challenge description does say "The title should refer to the original" so I have to vote this a DNMC: 1

Should have used the camera flash to capture that spirit again but that may have made him angry ;-)

Lovely capture and clear enough to see on his nose the result of recent battles.

Not sure I'd waht this one looking BACK at me LOL! Brave soul you are! :) Hope that was a really BIG zoom lens! 8 for being so brave!

This is a great photo. I assume this is based on "Forest Spirit masquerading as Chickaree." It's interesting that you went with such a different subject. I will score this high on clarity/composition, but a bit lower due to weak link to the original.
