 Oh wow! Thank you so much for the big surprise after my vacation! yes, I am just back from Mt. Rainier national park.

I love both hummingbirds and flowers, so I cherish every moment in blooming season to capture them. I used 175mm to capture this photo and there was no crop in post processing. I cloned out a lot of tiny bugs on the plant and adjusted color balance, saturation, curves, noise and sharpness.

Many thanks to all the wonderful comments and votes! I will keep doing hard work and share more photos with you guys.

Green: peace, neutral, eco-friendly...
vs. Brown ribbon: the opposite side of blue ribbon.

What I meant was, hey hihosilver, I don't have dual personality so I am not able to challenge both blue and brown so I prefer to be with peace if I am really getting bored.

I think hihosilver misunderstood my meaning. I didn't mean to challenge DrAchoo or Roz, you know.

when i made those comments yesterday i didnt realize you'd got the red in the free study .. CONGRATS .. this shot is another amazing image in your huge repertoire .. you seem to have all genres down pat .. such talent .. :)

This is outstanding. My only nitpick is that red border. I've found if you just desaturate it by about 40-60%, you still have that hint of color but it isn't as distracting. Outstanding image. 8
