 picture of my dog ranger, taken outside with a fake cloud backdrop behind him, wearing the halloween costume i made for him a few years ago.... he cooperated so much better than i thought he would. took picture off camera and rotated it 90 and sharpened using the basic sharpen button, and resized. i put a fan on him to get his ears and cape to "blow in the wind" like a true superhero...with no editing allowed, i thought natural light was the way to go....

wow!!! i am so excited....i was thrilled with the red, but now blue!!! it's funny when you enter a pic how you think it's going to do and what you think the comments will be...i almost didn't enter this because i was worried people would pick apart the fact that you can see the stiches of his costume...so glad i was wrong...... this picture still makes me laugh everytime i look at it. thanks so much for all the wonderful, wonderful comments. GO UNDERDOG!

This is such a great image. The heroic look on the dog's face, the ears blowing in the wind, the costume...so glad you did end up in the ribbons! Hope Ranger is getting lots of nummies! :-)

Now that's where I thought this image should have ended up in the first time around.

There's just such a simple greatness about this shot. The pose and expression are perfect. The combination of lack of processing and your lighting give it that required vintage look that you'd expect from a classic Underdog photo. Simple goodness, I says.

Welcome to the world of BLUE! I wonder if you even noticed the "tabs" on the collar of his costume look like blue-ribbon tabs? Anyway, congrats! I'm happy to see this very feel-good, whimsical image triumph.

I viewed this on my iPad and it display all wrong, 90 degrees about and stretched. I'm glad I left it and revisited it on my full size Mac. This is a great image. May ribbon.

Oh, I hope this ribbons. Very clever idea, cute, and well photographed. I am amazed that this is minimal editing.
Most of the pictures in this challenge have titles that are quite a stretch. This is one of the very few where the title is the original concept. Awesome job 10!
