 Taken during one of our Safaris during a visit to South Africa. This big male was only a few meters from the jeep, and was just about to fall asleep. He had been roaring all night before we found him in the morning as he was patrolling the edge of his territory.

I'm betting I will get a few comments on this being more orange than yellow.

I am currently still in Africa, so if a validation request is made, hopefully I can get a leniency on the 48 hour rule (I don't often have internet access right now).

Beautiful capture, too bad about the thing in front of his mouth. I think when you see a lion, you can't help but look at his mouth.

you could boost a bit the saturation here. but it's a good picture. :)
