Challenge: Freedom II (Advanced Editing II)
Camera: Olympus C-4040Z
Location: Toledo Wildwoods Metropark

A squirrel in the parking lot licking up something drop by a person. I had to clone out what appeared to be bird droppings(???) on the back of it's neck. Slight enhancements to contrast, saturation levels etc. Added the border by graying out and apply gaussian blur to a selection.

I'm trying, but I just don't buy this for freedom. I also really dislike the border, as I don't feel it adds anything to the composition and otherwise just doesn't really make sense.

the frame is a little overdone, gimmicky; other than that a nice shot

Boring at first glance but something about the composition is definitely pulling me back for a second look.

Great composition, and a rare case of an effective frame.

I don't really see this meeting the challenge, even in title. From a shooting perspective, the white line distracts, and the subject should be facing into the picture. Maybe next time you have this opportunity, try getting the camera down to street level rather than at snapshot level. Also, rather than just taking a picture of a squirrel, try capturing some context to add to the story.

You'll have to explain this one to me. Good photo.
