I took this while we were on a bike ride. The Panasonic Lumix is a great little camera I can carry in my pocket - thanks Steve for the recommendation.

Thanks so much for all the comments.

Wow .... I'm surprised this didn't get trolled for being over processed - it isn't overprocessed in my artistic view by the way. Its a totally brilliant image taking a lot of skill to execute and maybe even more skill to have seen in the first place. Well done.

The red ribbon goes well with the yellow stairs on the tank. Congrats!

I really like the composition here, but am I the only one bothered by the heavy aliasing artifacts? I'm afraid I didn't really give this a great score due to my perception on the image quality, but I sincerely like everything else about this.

Glad to see this ribbon as well. Pleasure sharing front page space with yours and 3rd place as well.

And with the trusty Lumix! I got mine for the same reason - to take on bike rides. I should do that more often. Lovely! And congrats on the ribbon!!

The benefits of living near a refinery. Not the first time I've seen this subject matter here. Can it be made to fit in every challenge?

Well seen, presented and could not be better. 9 A human figure in this would just be another angle on this but stunning as is.

You have a unique eye, and the lines in this photo are simply incredible. I want to give this my highest vote, but there's a lack of overall detail that just holds it back. You'll have to settle with joint overall top-score with some other fantastic images. :-)

An interesting approach. Indeed high key, with no shadow tones, just highlights and midrange ones. I get so frustrated when people think high contrast and high key are the same, when they are not at all. (ok, sorry for the rant, but....) 7
