Attempt to recreate an idea I'd seen in a photo magazine somewhere. Personal amusement, really. Blame laurielblack - she chose it from my available selections. Without seeing it, it should be said.

De-saturated all but red channel, and NI to try and reduce the noise but keep the channel gain up - very easily seems dark when you're only using a third of the available luminance. I'll guess that it scores a low 6 - organisation of water is too messy, and that damn top right drop seeping into the paper and losing it's definition.

I think my monitor is messed up or sumthing. I can see the words and its blurry. Are the words in the droplets?

Thanks for all comments - apart from filzy1095, which is bizarre. My choice of red here was the mistake - even at 255, it seems dark on the monitor, and i just couldn't keep the contrast to darken the words without ruining the background. Intersting technical experiment though. Never saw the connection to the notorious Setzler shot until someone mentioned it.

Beautiful color; love the water drops (not tired of them yet! ). Wish the text were a bit more bold, however. Good and interesting shot. :o)

Neat! I like how the water warps the word. The word and the color go together and work for the challenge. I would like the water drops to spead off the edges of the frame rather than being confined to the center. Also the color range and lighting are a bit subtle and the subject doesn;t pop out like it could with more contrast. 8

Love the idea, the red is just a little hard on the eyes... BUT one of my highest rated shots. Congrats.

Excellent shot. Curious as to how it was done. The word red appears to have been illuminated onto the shot from the light source...very cool.
Stronger side lighting to make the water droplets stand out more maybe?
Still very good.

Clever and very well executed. Your lighting without any glints or glares is exceptional.

a unique variation on the theme (which had been getting old) of people placing drops on glass & having the subject reflected thru the drops- you did the opposite- and i like the originality. nice!

Very cool idea!! Maybe a little more contrast somehow to make the water drops stand out a little more. I'm not sure how that would be done other than maybe adjust lighting to add more shadow to the edges of the drop ... but I would've never come up with this idea in the first place, so much props to you!! :-)
