W.B. Yeats

I went out to the hazel wood,
Because a fire was in my head,
And cut and peeled a hazel wand,
And hooked a berry to a thread;

And when white moths were on the wing,
And moth-like stars were flickering out,
I dropped the berry in a stream
And caught a little silver trout.

When I had laid it on the floor
I went to blow the fire a-flame,
But something rustled on the floor,
And some one called me by my name:
It had become a glimmering girl
With apple blossom in her hair
Who called me by my name and ran
And faded through the brightening air.

Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

Unfortunately I only gave this a 7 in voting, on review, I think it is a stunning image and the poem is so fitting. I'm now giving you an extra 3 points that you deserve.

Greetings from the Critique Club :-)

I really like this shot. The warm color is very soothing. Has good clarity with movement for a abstract type of image. I think the composition could had been a little better by moving the center apple to the left some to show the highlights to shadows from 1/3 to 1/3 to 1/3 if that makes any sense. I had little trouble tying the image to the challenge with the shadow in front. I didn't get the sense of fill flash. Pretty cool image.

Ahh, makes sense to me now. I lingered on this during voting, enjoyable light, color, and movement. Well done.

I certainly do, though I was banging my head trying to figure out what CPN was...

I really like titles that send me scurryinbg off to google - so I'm grateful for the introduction to the poem - i sort of wish the whoile picture had the same feel as the bottom right quadrant - ut it is interesting and full of movement

This one doesn't do anything for me I'm afraid. I don't mind abstract shots per se but I find this overly messy and distracting.
