First real foray into stroboscopic flash. My Canon 580ex flash can be set to a "multi" setting, which will allow you to set the number of flashes and the frequency. This was a one second exposure, during which the flash shot about 7 times (only about 4 of the flashes were during the cats jump, the rest were before and after the jump, since I didn't know how many I'd need.

Here's another example: , but I thought it was too busy. My biggest problem was a lack of a wide, black background. This is a piece of black velvet, but it was only 45" wide, so he kept getting out of the background. I really need to invest in something wider... :)

Great jump shot. Love cats. Did not like the see through tail mid stream and would have liked a natural background setting and/or a landing target being it ground or prey. Thanks for sharing.
