 Taken on a Safari in Kenya, in the Masai Mara ... Awesome trip, loved every minute of it. Taken fairly early in the morning, hence the fairly harsh light. According the the focus she was 82m away .... we got even closer when she went with some more of the pride and several cubs to some undergrowth ... they didn't care at all we were there in an open sided landrover! So many shots to choose from!! I chose this over some much tighter crops to show the whole environment so there was no doubt this is not in a zoo :)

Cropped from landscape to portrait using the full height of the original, then just basic curves and levels after converting from raw.

Ohmygoodness. I'm dying with envy! What amazing photos! I hope some day before I die I get to do something like this in Africa!

Very nice environmental shot. I usually prefer a tighter crop but the outlines of those trees in the background are quite nice (and African Plain-looking). Definitely adds to the scene for me.

Don't see any cages there and the trees do look African. She pops nicely against the similar coloured grass. Good composition too. 8.
