Nopal cactus in my front yard. Tuna is the Spanish word for prickly pear. (For the curious, atún is the Spanish word for tuna as in tuna salad sandwich.) The overlays are an old postcard, some corroded metal, and a square TTV dragged to fit.

I love this! The cactus makes me think of the old west and the postcard text popped the idea of the Pony Express in my mind (I think it is the postcard/mail theme along with the cactus to this that brought up in free associating brain). Love the gritty feel -you can feel the dust and heat of the desert. Beautiful warm tones of the orange/yellow/browns.

Lemon Marmalade, huh? Yes, it does seem like you look at the world through lemon marmalade. Everything has that unique-to-you yellow.

I just love the processing on your pictures, they have this old, classic feeling to it.

I thought this was strawberries from the thumbnail. I love the cactus, you did a great job with your overlays.

Wonderful! It all works so well together! It's like a beloved postcard received from the midwest and looked at over & over till it fades away completely.

NIce! That word, "tuna", we used to have so much fun in ESL classes - tuna sandwiches have what in them? :)

There is just something about text. Print. Words. They really tell a story, but only clear to the viewer so it weaves a different tale to each who look at it. NICE ONE!!
