I wanted to do crazy straws for this shot, but I didn't have any, and I didn't want to buy some just for the challenge. So I found some colorful paperclips I had, and thought "hmmm, the paperclip shape is pretty distinct." So this shot was born.

I used my homemade light tent, with some black cloth as the background, and two lights heavily diffused. Then I threw the 13mm extension tube on my camera, and with the 50mm lens, got a nice close up shot.

I really with this was advanced, as I could have cleaned up some bright spots with the clone tool, but instead I had to do some heavy adjustments which loses the sharpness. I'm not really expecting this to do too well.

Post processing:
* Crop
* Increase black point
* Increase exposure and brightness
* Topaz Adjust
* Increase contrast and definition
* Increase saturation with decreased vibrancy
* Increase highlights
* Edge sharpen
* Resize
* Add border (black very outside and white inner border, so this is truly at the edge)
* Save for web

=\ The image is unfortunately rotated just a bit CCW, in some cases I would assume it was intentional, but with eyecandy like this, it either needs to be substantially rotated, or absolutely straight.. This is neither, but it is quite pretty none-the-less....
