Photographer’s Notes
I’ve been thinking about the iPhone App Store and the hundreds of thousands of Apps for free or for sale. But the neatest Apps I can imagine haven’t been invented yet. So I set out to make my own. Using Photoshop, I built an image from parts I stole from the web. The idea was to make the image look like an iPhone App. I saved the image to the iPhone and displayed it as a photo.

There are lots of Star Trek references in the photo: 1) Replicator refers to the Food Replicators on board the Enterprise; 2) The toppings are from the Klingon cookbook. Inquiring minds can google them to find out; 3) Note the Starfleet command emblem in the background; 4) The bullet points by the toppings are Klingon Symbols; and 5) Jean-Luc Picard's "Make It So" denoting confirming the order and in this case, make the pizza just so.

Next, I had my wife hold the iPhone like she was about to push the “Make It So!” button. And the rest is history. This was fun!

I’m thinking voters of a certain age, with a certain affinity for Star Trek, might resonate with this – all 17 of you. If I can just get 17 10’s, the rest will take care of themselves, I’ll have a ribbon, and Bob’s your uncle. So Trekkers – Make It So!

11/18/2010 Judging by my score to date, there were not 17 trekkers voting - sigh!

Ah, two more Trekkers ... still falling short of the 17 10's I need.

My vote was the lone 10, BTW. Sorry I couldn't provide the other 16 you needed.

I'm in that audience... sorry I missed this one in voting. :o) LOVE this.

"Neither can my wallet Scotty"
"Nor can your ass Mr Sulu"

Nice handling of photographing an LCD screen. It's not as easy as it looks.

This is awesome! I hope you nail a ribbon or at least a top 10 with it. Glad you thought to include Gagh as a topping. That's a must-have.
