this is the reflection of trees in the water. I took hundreds of shots, and I think this is my favorite. It has a lovely texture that is unlike any other picture I took. And for me the composition is a "motif" in the musical sense: a small progression of notes.

pp: a slight crop to get rid of a distracting edge. Then a slight curves adjustment to increase contrast. That's it. Maybe some sharpening.

Wow.

mitalapo makes a great observation, but skewsme's is superior, IMO (sorry). I do prefer the browns in yours, though.

Beautiful, Don. This looks like a pastel, and the tones are rich and warm, inviting me to reach in and swirl my hands about in it. Leaving out the "reflectees" leaves us wanting to know more, and perhaps catch a glimpse of immortals.

Well at least I was in good company liking this 121st placed photograph. I've just been reading some of the comments on other very good entries in this challenge and it appears that unless the 'reflection' was at least as unequivocal as a hard kick in the balls, it didn't meet the challenge. What limited horizons, what stunted imagination. What a pity.

Man, I had a feeling this was your better half! Absolutely breathtaking. Everything mine failed to attain.

My top choice. Has a delicacy, restraint, that I liked very much. Thank you.

I don't get it. I suppose this could be a tool for inner reflection . . . 2
