Mitch Hedberg is(was) my favourite comedian.... Love your title :)

I got my hair highlighted because some strands were more important than others.

I really like the processing with the grain and color. It seems perfect that it is burned out at the top of the stairs. Makes one wonder where it leads and the title with the word convenience instead of inconvenience has made me think a little harder. Bumping up.

It's like a stairway to heaven. Love how the top just disappears.

The idea behind the Posthumous Ribbon is to encourage you to break the rules, to find new and different ways to express yourself. To free your mind to think clearly toward the solution that is certain to come, to laugh at world and at life, not doing what others are expecting you to do, but just following and listening to what's in your heart. DPC it’s a wonderful learning place where everyone should be supported on their way to be a photographer. A special attention should be aimed to those working hard with different views and approaches to photography, those not aligned with the mainstream taste and receiving no recognition. It’s our responsibility to support these photographers creating diversity and expressing different visions. Being active at the Posthumous thread it’s the best way to do it. Being active at the Posthumous thread it’s the best way to protect your and the other’s freedom of being different. Thanks for taking the time to enter this challenge. Stay wild.

I swear this is the escalator I take to one of my trains to work each day, and for that I want to throw my monitor out the window. On the other had I love this kind of shot, and this is especially interesting with the fade to white. Stairway to heaven perhaps due to maintenance. Awesome.

Stairway to heaven. Just needs someone dissolving in the light at the top. :)

I've been struggling with this. Seems to be begging for a shadowy rider, but that could look very cliche. I do like that you avoided perfect symmetry.

well exposed, grain and toning works well. I had tried to keep the symmetry by cropping at the left side, the small sticker attracts the view enough to prevent the image from being boring or sterile

I actually had to read the title twice and then I LOL. Nice tones and progression into the light.

I love the mood in this one, fantastically rendered. The grain is a nice touch, and the blinding light just adds a metaphorical meaning to the photo. Congratulations ! My only regret is that we miss a part on the right for it to be symmetrical, which would have led to an even greater impact imho.

I like this photo, the sepia tones you have chosen and the light contribute to create a special atmosphere.

Generates thoughts of the ordinary transitioning to the sublime (one of the best reasons for making an image). Placing this very high in my scores.

I love this one...the atypical composition, processing and highlighted detail keep me looking at this image and take me on a journey from the mundane directly into what I would hope to be a more enlightened state. Of course, I haven't reached the top of the stairs yet...who knows what's up there? I'll keep you posted!

one of my two 10's in this challenge. i think it is an amazing photo in it's own right but because it doesn't really have the dpc appeal/cliche/whatever i think it would be all over the posthumous thread following a regular challenge. nice job, i hope you hit it big with this one.

Would have been nice with a person disappearing into 'the light'. But I still like this a lot as is. Good choice of b/w. 8

MASTERFULLY processed. These double escalators are so photogenic anyway, but this deep sepia, and the graininess, combined with the metallic tones and the uncertain but bright exit make this an exquisite entry. Thank you!
