This is an outtake from the "Clouds" challenge — and, arguably, the better picture of the two, by far. It was not a good month for FS-style pictures, for me anyway, so it was either this one or another birds-on-a-wire shot. This one won out because, simply, I'm on an ongoing mission to show the many moods of this particular slice-of-view, which I've been entering in challenges since winter, 2005 :-) This one's a lot less dramatic than many of them, but, curiously, it captures an intimacy of light & place that is utterly faithful to my experience *of* the place, which I pass by pretty much daily on my perambulations: if I'm out of the house, 9 times out of 10 I'm driving over the bridge from which this exposure was captured. |

| Fabulous depth here. I think I can see Russia. Seriously, those clouds give it a 3D feel, and the tones throughout are really pleasing. Excellent photo. |
