Well, needless to say this is a huge surprise. It's amazing how the score pretty much stayed in this range all week, it hardly fluctuated at all.

So for the question of how I did it. It would've been cool if I said I had been on a set of rollerblades and tied by the hip to the back of the truck as we went racing down the tree-lined road, but in reality...

I was sitting in the back of my truck with my camera hanging off the end of a monopod which was dangled right above the road. The part that made me nervous was because of the angle of the monopod head, I had to mount the camera upside down otherwise the angle of the shot wouldn't have worked. I really like how it came out, esp the tilt and blur : )

We were also driving kind of fast and that particular road has a lot of turns and is damp in areas. At times I was actually sliding around in the truck bed, I also had to pull the camera back into the bed to dodge oncoming cars : )
I took about 80 shots and this was one of the few that was usable, I was very lucky my friend was a good sport about driving around and around on that road. All and all, it was a very fun shoot.

That is a great image quality considering that it was taken at 1/2 a second. Ok, it was on a tripod/monopod, but in the tray of the car, that would have still caused a lot of shake. Great work and congrats on the photographer of the year community award.

I'd love to know how you did this, were you following behind in another car?

great focus and motion blur. 9. if the truck was clean and had some reflections or maybe a more interesting car you'd have gotten a ten. Its the only thing that's is holding this picture back from being perfect.

Effective shot, that would have been even better with a nice shiny clean car. :)
