SP at church today.
I got this idea after the church had been decorated for Christmas. I think it would have been better without the decorations. There was a lot to shoot around and above. May try it again. Shot with the camera on tripod and using the camera timer.

Camera Raw Adjustments in PS Elements 6.0:
Clarity 45
Vibrance +7
Saturation +7
Transform distort to staighten the horizontal.
Correct camera distortion tool to correct vertical perspective and pincussion distortion.
Crop.
Spot edit blue wire attached to the right tree.
Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation.
Adjust sharpness.
Resize, USM.
New Layer, Topaz Adjust Vibrance default, merged down notmal blend mode,51% opacity.
New Layer, Color Curves adjustment increase contrast default, merged down, normal blend mode 51% opacity.
New layer of levels and a layer of gradient map converting to black and white. Opened the levels diaglog and adjusted each of the RGB channels.
Flatten.
Resize.
USM.

Thanks for noticing, Scott! I've never quite had a run like that (hmmmm....maybe I should say this, we'll see). Guess my camera ate its Wheaties or something.

Well I gave it a 10 and it deserves a ribbon, but you've got four in a row now in the top 10, and have just pulled a blue, and you cannot argue with that. Your great work is getting the appreciation it deserves.

Great shot! I had an idea like this but never would have achieved it as well as you. This is very dramatic and well done.
I think a vertical shot that cut out the christmas trees would have been even more dramatic.
