No children, but children are implied as part of the "story". Small children would like to play with a "pet" cat like this. I understand this is a shoehorn. Just didn't have any children around my neighborhood who were brave enough to go out and play with a wildcat in the yard.

Seriously, there are no children up here in the mountains in winter. My grandchild is 1000 miles away. I wish all those with readily accessible children the best of luck in this challenge. Unfortunately, children are not part of my neighborhood.

As expected, lots of DNMC votes. It's okay. I expected that. For those who have suggested I should have placed this the FS for December, I already have a good image submitted, which is not like this one.

Yes, this is a bobcat in the wilderness.

In response to all the stern DNMC comments, this image is an orphan. If I had not entered it here, it would not have been entered at all. There were several challenges in a row which excluded me, so this one went in to this challenge as a shoehorn.

Two "best buddies" continue to harass me on many of my images. I will always ignore them, as they seem to work together a lot. Maybe the SC will notice one day.

A really nice shot like this is wasted here as a shoehorn in a challenge. So much better to put it in the Free Study. BTW, I'm envious. There are bobcats here in the wildlife refuges, but I've never seen one.

Still a good photo and I think it's good that you still entered something into the challenge. Better than skipping the challenge.

all I can so is... oh my. Richard, I read your comments to the DNMC comments, and still do not understand why you even entered this photo in this challenge. Wouldn't it be better to stop (your word) shoehorning pics and just put them in your portfolio? This is wasting the voters time having to see this and comment DNMC. If the photo doesn't fit, just don't enter it.

oh heck, just leave it be as funny.

Incredible. ALL your comments mentioned the DNMC! But the more I look at it, the more I think the kid might have been lunch.

Edit to add: you no longer have to shoehorn your lovely captures. There is an orphan thread for just such occasions.

I'm sure I'm not the first to say that it might have been more fitting if the title were 'Here kiddie Kiddie!. Anyway, it sure is an excellent photo.

really cool that you were able to capture this if its wild, but i think you would have to agree that this was fairly shoehorned ;)

Great shot, but far too big a shoehorn for me vote it as highly as it deserves I'm afraid.
