Took this on one morning while on vacation out in North Carolina. Morning was holy, moly cold in the low 30's with some wind chill. Taken at 7:54 a.m. just as the sun rose over the mountains. My hands were pretty cold after 20 minutes of trying to get a good shot where the wind did not blow the leaf blurry. Turns out that this (I believe) is a good fit for this challenge.

Added note: My thanks to my husband who came up with the better title "First Touch of Day" is far better than "Touch of Morning".

Interesting composition. Did you light the leaf with a flash? If so, I wonder what it would have been like without that. I think it would have been more natural, and pleasing to me.
