The very wonderful rustic cabin of the Dings family. In the rain/snow shadow of Long's Peak, the setting is one of my dream locations. A good example of a cold air funnel in the air east of Mt. Meeker.
HDR Efex Pro blend of three (3) images. +1, 0 -1 camera stops. Also, used Viveza2 and ColorEfexPro 3.
This image was specifically composed in an unbalanced way for the this challenge. Yes, I think it still works. But, it's up to the voters, of course. I don't know.
Some days I feel disadvantaged by the 800 pixel constraint. Here's a 720x1080 image, which shows better detail.

i dont really understand what is meant by balance, so i have just been looking at this as a free study, that being said, i really like this, the sky is excellent
Great view of Half Mountain and The Diamond. Great shot Richard! hahn23Hope I have the correct person. This is heavy on the right, but the clouds in the upper left carry some visual wieght as well. But very effective.
Sorry to hear this is scoring so poorly for you Richard (yes I know this is yours, too darn distinctive not to be yours, coupled with your comment, it's easy to figure out).
Soo, I think the fact that you placed the cabin on the rule of 1/3rds is screwing with people, and the even land/sky proportion is also getting them..
As for me? That cabin is WAY to heavy for the scene, it completely overwhelms the shot.. Deserves much better IMO.
