Yes... STILL snowed in... Braved the ice and took my burned-out lightbulb down to the shop and drilled a small hole in the base... Got the stand that Woody came on and put the white posterboard between it and the basket I had the Woody Stand inside (to support the poster high enough in the air that the stand wouldn't show).

Yeah... I'm bored. Snowed in for six days with young six males... is not for the weak.

So, here I am talking to myself underneath the photo that I reshot twelve BILLION times trying to get a solid white background with my available light and not have it reflect in the bulb. Still don't have it... I'll keep working on it (I dislike Basic Editing with a passion)... but it's just nice to sit down and have a reasonably intelligent conversation with someone. Even if it IS myself.

*grin*

Okay... Hey, Me! I'm back. What do we think about Edit #12,000,000,001 ?

I think we like it. Let's stop and go cook... again... for the guys.

Creative interpretation of the challenge. I enjoy that the typical proportions of the lamp and the bulb have been reversed. The colors are nice, but the image comes across as bland. The soft diffuse lighting and white limbo don't give much for the eyes to chew on. The shadow is nice, however I find the reflections in the glass of the bulb to be rather dull.

Barbie told me that her Tiffany was discovered missing after the party. You better hide it before Cop Ken shows up at your pad.

Seriously, I love the picture. I am very interested in how you achieved the balancing act.

Oh goodness. Where does one get a shrinking ray? Or maybe it's the bulb that's ginormous...

LOL. Very clever juxtaposition. Not sure why this isn't just a square crop, since the excess negative space doesn't really add anything. I'd edit out the dark reflection on the bulb for the portfolio version.

It would work better to either fill the frame with the subject or center the subject. Here, it's not quite following the rule of thirds, it's just off center. Good bright background and great that the bulb does not dissapear at the edges because you exposed well.

Love it! Is that a really big light bulb, or a really small lamp?
