It was this or a nifty blurred sunset. Hard to choose. I can shoot more sunsets, I suppose.

Shot while on a walk in San Clemente. Gotta love a swingset on the beach where the view is the Pacific Ocean, don't you? What a great way to spend an afternoon.

Overprocessed with Lightroom preset (and I'll have to work to figure out which one if anyone wants to know.) Cropped, took some blue out of her hair, perhaps sharpened a touch. And there you have it.

The nifty blurred sunset options:

This captures a mood, a feeling, a freedom so well. Such a beautiful image.

My entering is dying down again and I havent really voted in a while. I do a quick surf through the challenges looking to see if something grabs my eye. I add a fave here and there to acknowledge the image but I haven't had much time for commenting - even on the images that strike me. This morning I decided to look through my faves. It is funny how I can fave an image in challenge and then I don;t go back to my fave folder for a while. And when I do it;s like seeing a challenge full of images that I love. Not a dud in the bunch. This morning though as I checked my two scores (which I am stunned are as high as they are) and then hit my fave folder and this one stuck out. Well two stuck out actually for very different reasons. This one gave me a refreshing sigh. It made me think that this is what I want today and that today I will actually get it. Not that I am down or that I long for an uplifting moment. Far from it. But that I am so looking forward to today. And this image exemplifies what I expect and not just what I wish. I love this image.

And the other image, which struck me as much as yours for very similar but very different reasons, depicts what I expect at the end of the day. Not with a sense of dread but looking forward to it as well as my day of swinging comes to an end. ;)

I looked at the sunsets option. You chose very well the flying, almost transparent girl with an entire life ahead waiting for her.
As magnificent as they are, the sunsets become personal bests most of the time. We cannot stop marveling at them but it's like playing Vivaldi on the radio too many times. Well done!

I like this one much more than your alternates. It conveys more. The sunsets are pretty, no doubt, but I love this one more. To me, it captures much of the childhood happiness... feeling like you're flying, with the ocean out below you. And it looks so much like summer! It's great to have shots like this in the depths of winter. :)

A very nice suspended feel about this and it works. I like this. Something Im uncertain of is what the image would have looked like with longer focal length and more compressed feel..and even without the bar running accross the top. The comp does work with it there but it's just an alternate I was wondering about

You know I never would have guessed this was yours, yet when I went to look at the images I faved in this challenge this was the first image I came to to check. Go figure. Lovely image. If it were of either of my kids I would be printing it out HUGE and hanging it in an instant. Now - go figure out which is mine. ;)
