I'm guessing this will be a middle of the pack photo, but I'm still not very good at street photography, so this is about the best I could do.
Went out to downtown Madison this afternoon with the sole focus of seeing what I could come up with for this. I'm not too comfortable taking photos of people, so this type of challenge is actually quite difficult for me. I did get lucky and found a group of Egypt supporters. I took a handful of photos at different angles, and finally came out with this one.
I setup my camera before going out to take three bracketed exposures (at -2/3, -1/3, and 0) and a custom picture style with high sharpness, contrast, and saturation. This picture style worked out pretty well, as it gave the JPEG some decent life that the other picture styles never delivered in the past.

I wonder what the Arabic says! Nice street shot. What gets me about these placard carrying is there's always someone else willing to put life on the line for their ideals... |
